Esoterica means things understood by or meant for a select few. It is precisely this direction taken in Vincent Casanova’s new LP. A collection of grooves drawing inspiration and stylistic leanings from a wide array of Dance Music’s subtle, unpredictable and shadowy realms. Spooky FX mingle with ethereal melodic components as dubby sub-bass frequencies provide a concrete foundation. Vocal oddities wander in and out of the arrangements offering glimpses of urban fragmentation and softer, dreamy contemplation.
